Questions
What hosts, landlords and cleaners ask
Basics
How do I know a plumber is licensed?
The license number is in the footer of every page. Enter it on the state's lookup page and you can see its class and status before you let anyone in your unit.
What does a visit cost and what does it include?
You get a written price by text before any work starts. It covers the labor and parts for the job we described. If we find something else, we stop and send a second price. Nothing is added without your yes.
Do weekends cost more?
The price we text you already includes any weekend rate, so the number you approve is the number you pay. We work Saturday and Sunday windows, listed in the hours.
Do you pull permits?
Where the work needs one, such as a water heater replacement, yes, and the written price says so.
Is my unit at risk for lead or old pipe?
Plumbing installed before 1986 may have lead solder or fittings. If your unit is older, tell us and we will show you the pipe we can see. Your water utility can tell you about lead testing.
Where do you work, and when?
Destin, Fort Walton Beach and the towns along 30A, listed on the service area page. Our hours are in the footer of every page.
Between guests
A guest has no water right now. What do I do?
Close the main shutoff if you or the guest can reach it, then text us a photo. We read texts daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. After 8 p.m. we answer first thing in the morning, so for a burst pipe in the night call a plumber with an overnight line.
Can you fit a repair between a 10 a.m. checkout and a 4 p.m. check-in?
That is the window we plan for. Before we book, we tell you whether the job fits in it. If it does not, we say what to do: make it safe, block a night, or move the guest.
Do I have to be there?
No. Tell us how to get in: a lockbox, a smart-lock code or a cleaner who meets us at the door. We text you when we arrive and when we leave.
A cleaner found the problem. Who pays?
The host or landlord you name when you start. Cleaners and property managers can text us from the unit without paying or opening an account.
Do you work on condo risers and shared lines?
No. Risers, shared drains and the building's main shutoff belong to the association. We work inside the unit, and we tell you when the problem is the building's so you can call the manager.
Should I repair or replace a water heater?
We read the label for its age, check the tank for leaks, and send you a repair price and a replacement price so you choose.
Host plan
What does the host plan hold?
Visit windows for your units on the days guests change over, and one walk-through of each unit a year. It is not insurance. Repairs, parts and permits are quoted and billed separately.
How do I cancel a plan?
Text or email us before the renewal date. The plan ends with the paid year and there is no cancellation fee.
